About this release

Legacy don't retire — it reinvents. In._fluence is the sound of Atlanta hip-hop's second generation. Raised in the culture by his father, Allen B. Johnson — a foundational figure in early Atlanta hip-hop who managed Khujo and T-Mo before they became Goodie Mob — music was never a hobby, it was inheritance. As an original founding member of Playaz Circle, In._fluence helped shape a sound that's now woven into Atlanta's musical fabric. After stepping away from the spotlight for over two decades, his father's passing brought him back to the one thing that never left him: the beat. Now, with a catalog of over 100 original productions rooted in soulful, organ-driven Southern hip-hop — the DNA of OutKast, Organized Noize, UGK, 8Ball & MJG, and the Geto Boys — In._fluence is stepping back into the light as a writer and producer, ready to build the next chapter of a legacy that never stopped moving. THE CONFLICT” is a thought-provoking Hip-Hop record built around the structure and tension of a powerful movie script. The song examines the conflict between opposing political views, right and wrong, power and accountability, and the interests of everyday people, told through a Black perspective and lived experience. Rather than simply taking one political side, the record explores the division, contradictions, consequences, and emotions created when competing ideologies collide. It asks the listener to look beyond political labels and consider what happens to people and communities
