About this release

“Gravity” is a grown-man R&B record about the pull you feel toward someone even when you’re trying to stay composed. Written and creatively directed by R. Nelson, the song blends classic soul sensibility with a modern R&B groove, built around emotional honesty, restraint, and undeniable attraction. The record incorporates AI-assisted music production as part of its creative process, while the songwriting, concept, arrangement direction, and final artistic decisions were led by R. Nelson. “Gravity” served as the lead single from Music and Written By R. Nelson, Vol. 1: Grown Man Energy and has since received independent press coverage, international radio support, chart activity, and submissions for award consideration.
