About this release

This record is a reflection on survival, fatherhood, responsibility, faith, relationships, and the process of becoming. It comes from witnessing people endure difficult circumstances while carrying the weight of protecting their families, raising children, and trying to become better than what they were raised around. The song moves between lived experience and the creation story in Genesis, using the seven days of creation as a framework for examining life itself. Darkness and light, water, the earth, the stars, humanity, work, rest, and the fall of mankind become metaphors for personal growth, struggle, family, love, pride, and purpose. At its heart, the record asks what it means to build something meaningful with the one life we have. The lyrics move from street-level observations and fatherhood into questions of spirituality, creation, masculinity, healing, and accountability. The recurring idea is that life can either overwhelm you or teach you how to flow through it. The artwork represents that same intersection of faith, sacrifice, creation, and transformation. This is an independent record created to communicate something bigger than a moment it is part of a larger story about becoming a father, becoming a man, understanding God, and breaking cycles rather than passing them forward.
