About this release

The one was created because I wanted to express my confidence, I wanted something that felt bossy and authentic to my lifestyle. Having Bigga Rankin on the record made it more special. He brought a legendary presence and authenticity that matched the direction of the song perfectly. It wasn’t just about getting a feature , it was about creating a record with somebody whose voice and impact meant something to the culture. The song is basically about knowing you’re THE ONE believing in yourself, standing on who you are, and not needing anybody else to validate it. That’s the energy I wanted people to feel when they heard it.
