It's a pursuit song, not a conquest song: the narrator is chasing connection as much as anything physical, caught between wanting to savor the moment and wanting to move. The hook lands the tension in plain terms: “Time went by, we wasted / Can I be straight, no chaser / I wanna take you home right now / I wanna see you naked.” It's direct without losing the smoothness — the kind of line that plays as comfortably in a lounge set as it does in headphones on the way home. INSPIRATION The song came from a real night out — Jamm Lewis spotted a woman across the bar who, in his words, was “the most beautiful woman in the world,” and the entire record grew out of chasing that feeling: the nerve, the slow-burn attraction, the wish to close the distance between a glance and a conversation. Rather than write around the moment, he wrote from directly inside it, which is why the lyric stays so plainspoken and immediate. PRODUCER & CRAFT “Pass Them Drinks” is a fully solo work.
